Markus Stitz recommends

Markus Stitz is one of our cycling authors. German-born and now based in Edinburgh, he caught the adventure bug while living in New Zealand and has explored Great Britain extensively since he moved here in 2009.

He's the founder of Bikepacking Scotland and has worked across Scotland, designing gravel and bikepacking routes for Wild About Argyll, Perthshire Gravel, Visit East Lothian and the Cateran Ecomuseum. Markus is an ultra-endurance racer, not only has he circumnavigated the globe on a single-speed bike, he has three successful finishes of the Highland Trail 550, along with single finishes of the Silk Road Mountain Race and the Atlas Mountain Race.

So far Markus has completed two books with VP; Big Rides: Great Britain & Ireland and Great British Gravel Rides.
