NEWS: The Search is voted Outdoor Book of 2026

Paul Besley's The Search has been awarded Outdoor Book of the Year in The Great Outdoors Reader Awards 2026, with Elise Downing's Walk Britain taking a well-deserved Highly Commended second place. 

Paul said:'I am thrilled to receive the award from readers. It is a great honour to know the book is so well received.'

Now in their fourteen year, the Awards champion the people, places and businesses that inspire our outdoor adventures.

The Search was also shortlisted for the prestigious 2025 Boardman Tasker Award for Mountain Literature.
