Since then he has dabbled in many aspects of mountain biking, from cross-country racing to wilderness touring. After completing his Masters degree in Sports Science, Phil set up Scottish Mountain Bike Guides, operating mountain bike holidays and skills courses all over the country from the 7Stanes to the Western Isles. He has written two guides to mountain biking in Scotland: Scotland Mountain Biking – The Wild Trails and Scotland Mountain Biking – Wild Trails Vol.2.
Andy McCandlish is one of the UK’s top mountain biking photojournalists, and an expert on Scottish mountain biking.
